About Us

Oregon Midwifery Council (OMC) is a community of midwives, birth professionals, and families unified around a common passion for the health and well-being of mothers and babies.

The Oregon Midwifery Council promotes maternal and infant health in Oregon by increasing access to midwifery care, providing public education about birth options and providing professional education for the midwifery community.

Each year the Portland Regional portion of OMC, sponsors a one day conference of clinically relevant topics to enhance the learning of current studies and practices,  Each midwife in attendance can earn Continuing Education Credits (CEU's) for attending the full conference day.

We invite and encourage birth professional from all areas of care, in or out of the hospital to attend
